Vitesse in Georgian hands
expired
Arnhem football club Vitesse is definitely in foreign hands. The investor taking over the club is 49-year-old Merab Jordania, former footballer and former chairman of the Georgian Football League.
Merab Jordania took the club over from Maasbert Schouten, who became the owner of Vitesse in 2009 to save the club from liquidation. With this recent takeover, Vitesse is the first Dutch football club to be controlled by a foreign party.
