Patrick Kluivert in NEC’s technical staff
Patrick Kluivert will become a member of the technical staff of Nijmegen football club NEC next Thursday. He is coming to Nijmegen on account of his contacts with Wiljan Vloet, the present trainer. With 40 goals, the former striker is the all-time leading scorer of the Dutch national team.
With five goals, Patrick Kluivert was also top scorer for the 2000 European Championships. His breakthrough came in 1995 when he made the winning goal for Ajax in the Champions League finals against AC Milan.
Though failed with AC Milan, he was FC Barcelona’s first choice for years. He also played for Newcastle United, Valencia, PSV and Lille, but was unable to deliver.
