Trendy and fair fashion during the Arnhem Fashion Biennial
Every two years, the Arnhem Fashion Biennial has a showing of up-to-the-minute fashion design on the international level, and it has grown into the greatest cultural fashion event in the world. This third edition will devote all attention to fair fashion during the Awearness Fair Fashion Event.
Awearness Fair Fashion Show
Ready-to-wear, couture and arty design clothes with respect for living creatures and the environment will give the catwalk the stamp of eco-friendliness during the Awearness Fair Fashion Show on Sunday June 28. New materials like lyocell and other fabrics made from wood pulp, soy, maize, hemp, bamboo and nettle will ensure a special perception. The Awearness Fair Fashion Show is the first fully eco-friendly fashion show of this class in the Netherlands. Joke Bom of Fair Fashion Webshop watMooi compiled the show.
Awearness Fair Guerillastore
The Awearness Fair Guerrillastore at Turfstraat 1a, in Arnhem, opens up from June 29 to July 5. It is a temporary shop and offers trendy and fair fashion, unique bags and other accessories made from recycled materials. Young designers will create original fashion articles from second-hand clothes on the spot. Various workshops for Loesje and eco-friendly purchase tips given by StoereVrouwen will make a visit to the shop a real treat. You can swap your bad bargains and misfits at UpperWareHouse’s Swap Shop and have them spiced up on July 5.
