NUON opens a trial factory for a solar cell film in Arnhem

Nuon has started up a new pilot plant for a solar cell film.
Nuon Helianthos, situated at the industrial park Koningspleijn in Arnhem, is meant for the developing and testing of a flexible cell film with which electricity can be generated from solar radiation. Nuon is Holland’s first solar cell film producing factory. By 2010 Vattenfall, from next week un the current owner of Nuon, will decide if a factory for commercial manufacturing of the solar cell film will be built alongside the already existing pilot plant.
