In joint effort the best city centre in the Netherlands!
In the election for the best city centre, Arnhem was the unchallenged number one. Nijmegen shared the second place with Eindhoven.

This was announced by the professional jury of specialists from the business world and the Ministries of Economic Affairs, of Justice, and of Transport & Public Works.
Nijmegen scored high with initiatives for keeping
the city centre accessible. Examples were the P+R Waalsprinter, the supervised bicycle
shed for free and the ‘real time’ parking system. The jury was especially
pleased by the organizational abilities seen in Nijmegen city centre.
The jury judged that Arnhem is a complete city with a cosy feeling where the friendly atmosphere ensures a pleasant place to stay. But also the diversity in the supply of catering, culture and shops combined with the historic surroundings make this city centre so special.
