Entry for World Statues Festival open
Children, amateurs and professionals can enter their names for the fifth ‘living statue’ edition of the World Statues Festival in Arnhem to be held on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 Augustus 2009.
A ‘living statue’ plays with the theme of living versus non-living, to create confusion or amazement among the public. It is allowed to make one movement as a short and live moment that is deliberately selected as part of the act. Participants are judged on originality, on the quality of the costumes and grime and mime, on dramatic, theatrical and motional qualities and on the value added to this form of art.
The World Statues Festival is to be held on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August. The Kids statues will feature on Saturday, and the adults, amateurs and professionals will display their qualities as ‘living statue’ on Sunday.
You can register with the appropriate forms to be downloaded from the site www.worldstatues.nl.
