Gert-Jan Oplaat chairman of Advisory Council foundation kiEMT
Gert-Jan Oplaat ( 1964) was appointed to chairman of the kiEMT’s Advisory Counsel on 1 July 2009.
The advisory counsel under the leadership of Gert-Jan Oplaat gives advices to the foundation kiEMT. The advices mainly concern kiEMT’s position on an national and international level. The board consists of twelve people from government, education, research and entrepreneurs.
The foundation kiEMT is a network that consists of energy- and environmental technology related companies, public authorities and knowledge organisations in the province Gelderland.
kiEMT has been set up from businesses. Its goal is to achieve a closer collaboration, knowledge exchanges, innovations and ‘new business’ all in the light of improving energy- and environmental technology. Over the past three years 20 new companies came to be with the support of kiEMT. In the meantime over 125 companies are connected to kiEMT.
Mister Oplaat is chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Gelderland since 2007. He has been a member of the Tweede Kamer ( VVD) ‘Dutch parliament’ from 1998 to 2006.
In the meantime the composition of the advisory counsel is complete and all members have confirmed their cooperation. kiEMT asserts to organise their first meeting in September.
