Consumer Spending Pattern Survey in Euregion
A survey of consumer spending pattern is presently being carried out in the Arnhem Nijmegen City Region and Kreis Cleves. Some 7,200 persons (6,000 in City Region and 1,200 in Kreis Cleves) will be asked where they do their shopping in their region or across the border.
The persons interviewed for the consumer spending pattern survey are also asked to give their views on the number of shops and the reasons for visiting certain cities. It is expected that the survey gives insight into the (cross-border) consumer spending patterns to be able respond to market developments in the future. The survey is carried out by Goudappel Coffeng and Intomart GFK. The commissioning authorities were Arnhem Nijmegen City Region, the Chamber of Commerce, the municipalities of Arnhem and Nijmegen and Wirtschaftsförderung Kreis Kleve. The results will be published this autumn.
