Radboud University due to receive three international top researchers as part of the Visiting Professors Programme

The Visiting Professors Programme is an initiative of The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) to invite international top academic researchers to come to our country in order to promote science and literature in the Netherlands. KNAW has selected eleven Visiting Professors. amongst whom are three professors who will come to Radboud University Nijmegen.

Charles Dinarello, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, United States. Professor Dinarello is pioneer and authority on research to cytokine, a secreted protein that transmits a signal from one cell to another. Prof. Dinarello will teach a master class intended for PhD students and organize several guest lectures for students of medicine and students of health sciences.

Laurie Feldman, University at Albany, United States. Prof. Feldman's research deals with the differences between the morphological structure of languages and their consequences for the understanding and production of language. During her stay in the Netherlands, Prof. Feldman will teach a master class on morphology and will present her research and theories in a colloquium.

Edith Dudley Sylla, North Carolina State University, United States.  Prof. Sylla is one of the most prominent researchers in the field of the history of science and the history of philosophy of both the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. During her stay in the Netherlands, she will organize a weekend seminar at Soeterbeeck for the Netherlands Research School for Medieval Studies, which is recognized by KNAW. She will also give several lectures as part of a colloquium series intended for theologians and philosophers.
