Your student time is a wonderful time. You are young, you do whatever you want and you do this in your own time: going out until the small hours, sleeping in late. But what if you happen to become a mother? Or a father? The main occupation in your life will then be warming up baby food, changing diapers and getting up in the middle of the night to feed the little one. Suddenly the careless student life gets a different perspective. But how different? Can a full time study be combined with raising a child? Home sweet home
Studying and living in Holland is great and all that, but from time to time you just get homesick and you think of home and home alone. What better way to do this than by looking at your favourite pictures, by cuddling your favourite pillow from home or by cooking your favourite home-cooked meal? Sensor visits a few international students and asks them: what gives you that home sweet home feeling?
Riding an Iron Horse
Don’t think Holland is the only country where people are riding bicycles. All eight students from the Committee for International Students (CIS) who are present today have a bicycle of their own, even here. Today they rode it for a trip through a polder near Nijmegen. But let’s first visit the bicycle museum.
