'Live-stream': Opening new academic year at HAN is themed 'Room for Sustainability'

The academic year 2009-2010 of HAN College of Applied Sciences will be opened on Wednesday 2 September. Dr. Jacqueline Cramer, the Dutch Minister of Spatial planning and Environment has been invited to be guest speaker. Directly after her opening speech, she will open the new HAN Faculty of Technology in Arnhem. The live broadcast of this event can be watched in live-stream.

GO4-Dakar

Go-4 Dakar is a project of HAN Automotive (HAN University of Applied Sciences). Its goal is to build a rally car that can participate in “Le Dakar”. The car is fitted with a CO2 neutral engine powered by jatropha oil. That calls for innovation! Businesses and students are very willing to collaborate on a challenge like this.

MIT @ HAN

The motto ‘How to create almost anything’ ruled the knowledge exchange between Boston MIT Media Lab and HAN University. The contact with MIT was made on Dig-e-vent 2007 and has meanwhile grown into a broad collaboration. Read all about it here.

Students HAN University building car in TV serial

TV programme ‘Prautotype’, for the first time to be watched on RTL 7 on Sunday 8 February at 5 pm, will highlight the extensive process of developing and building a concept car, ‘Prautotype 003’. This will be the third season for RTL to broadcasts this series. Together with the Dutch automotive branch, students of Han University will build the new Prautotype 003. HAN University will show the results of this innovation on the forthcoming AutoRai in Amsterdam.

Knowledge enhancement at HAN Automotive

Thanks to a special government arrangement, HAN-automotive has ‘all of a sudden’ nineteen more high-qualified staff members. This arrangement involves that companies suffering from financial trouble are given financial support by the government so as to allow to them to second their researchers to some expertise centre.
