The web portal
The web portal we are making is of course first-rate, but how can we make sure that this portal will reach the target groups?
Trilingualism and interactivity
We will start with building a trilingual web portal with wide information about the region, which will soon be expanded with interactive services like hotel booking and the entertainment agenda. The official language will be English, but visitors can easily change to Dutch and German and allowance is made for integrating other languages to cater for the Asiatic market later.
What you can find here
This portal gives basic information about housing, working and shopping locations, study programmes, cultural supply and handy information for visitors at home and far away. The starting page will also contain regional news items. An important part of the web portal will be the so-called “market windows” where we will display important products from our region in the window, such as fashion, science and technical study programmes and the cultural supply.
Dovetailed with the economic agenda of the region
Chances will also be given to other strong economic clusters: energy & the environment, sports & health, technology, etceteras. This means that the web portal is dovetailed with the economic agenda of the Urban Region and the Chamber of Commerce. The content of the web portal and the broader package of regional marketing will be developed together with the economic activities, knowledge institutes and intermediary organisations.
