Technovium uplifts education
When Technovium is completed, Nijmegen will have a powerful lever to lift technical education to a higher level. And this is exactly in line with the ambitions of the region.
Technovium will be built near the Heijendaal railway station in Nijmegen and will see completion in 2010. It will be a meeting place for students, teachers and entrepreneurs. All levels of the science and technology departments in the region will come together there. And what is more important, they will perfectly link up with each other. This makes studying science and technology even more attractive, which is important because the aim is to make more young people interested in a technical profession.
When education and the business sector meet each other in Technovium they can bring their wishes and needs in line with one another. Consultations between the different schools will be increased to remove overlaps and to make moving on from lower to higher education easier.
Thanks to Technovium, the science and technology studies in the region will have more quality, which make them more attractive to students. And this means more success ahead for economic activities in and around Nijmegen.
