Get your walking shoes and make sure you go to the Rijk van Nijmegen region for a walk. The 92nd edition of the Nijmegen annual four day walking event is scheduled to be held from 21 to 24 July 2009.
International Four Days Marches Nijmegen, an annual record performance!The
International Four Days Marches Nijmegen is the largest marching event
and one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Each year, in the
third week of July, some 45,000 participants have to walk between 30 to
50 kilometers each day for four days!
Vierdaagsefeesten
From 21 to 24 July 2009, during the walking event, accompanying festivities
are organised. It is the
biggest music festival of the Netherlands, drawing a crowd of over 1
million visitors and including more than 200 bands. National and
international performers will be entertaining at various special event
locations and at numerous cafés.
