Indoor Tractor Pulling in Gelredome
The Tractor Pulling Event is organised in Gelredome in Arnhem for the fifth time. Tractor Pulling Arnhem is the only indoor tractor pulling event in Europe.
Truck and tractor pulling is done with the help of a breakdown van, which is a kind of articulated van with a sledge in the front instead of wheels. It weighs about 25,000 kilos when fully loaded. The participants must move the van as far as possible on a track of loamy soil specially created for this event. The length of the track in Gelredome is over 80 metres. Since the resistance will continue to increase during the pulling it will be more and more difficult to move the van.
Tractor Pulling takes place on April 11, 2009, in Gelredome, Arnhem.
